This is thought to have been the first celebration of High Mass (in the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite) at S. Mary's for 47 years. The celebrant was Fr. Matthew Goddard, F.S.S.P. To the right of the altar, a relic of the Cure of Ars is exposed for veneration during this special year for priests.

Thanks for the photograph of the church prepared for the High Mass. It struck me how much more dignified the Altar looks when “dressed” like this, completely changes the look of the Sanctuary – for the better!
